🚀 How to Create & Manage Backups

  1. Create a New Backup
  2. You can do this from your Opensolr Control Panel UI, or programmatically via the Automation REST API.

  4. Enable Daily Backups (NOT enabled by default!)

  5. Be sure to click Start Daily Backup Schedule in your backup panel if you want your index backups to be automatically created every day. (Because who remembers to do this manually? Not us, and not you.)

  6. For best practice, we recommend:

    • Using a Production Opensolr Account for your live indexes (where you require backup management).
    • Using a secondary Dev Account for your dev/test/QA/UAT environments.
    • And of course, harnessing Team Management to connect your dev and prod teams as needed.
