🤝 Opensolr Teams: Collaborate Like a Pro
Welcome to Teamwork, Solr-Style
Opensolr Teams lets you invite anyone with an Opensolr account—free, paid, or even overdue—to join your team and help manage or create your Opensolr Indexes.
Think of it as your search engine’s “Justice League”… but with fewer capes and more productivity.
🏆 Why Use Opensolr Teams?
- Collaboration made easy: No more sharing passwords, awkward email threads, or “Who owns this index?” confusion.
- Flexible invites: Team members can have any Opensolr account (even free, or not currently paid up!).
- Smooth onboarding: All they need is a registered Opensolr account—that’s it.
🚦 How Does It Work?
- Go to Opensolr Teams in your dashboard.
- Invite anyone by their Opensolr email address (remind them to register first if needed).
- Assign permissions as needed—create, edit, or just observe.
- Manage your team with a few clicks. Add, remove, promote, demote—whatever suits your workflow.
🚨 Important!
- All invited team members must have a valid Opensolr account.
- Their account can be free, expired, or even overdue. We’re inclusive like that!
- You can collaborate with anyone—partners, clients, colleagues, or that genius intern who actually reads the docs.

💡 Pro Tips & Best Practices
- Keep your team lean: Only invite people you trust to manage your indexes.
- Assign roles wisely: Not everyone needs admin rights—sometimes it’s okay to just “view.”
- Rotate team members: Projects end, teams change—review your members now and then.
- Use the Teams feature to separate dev, test, and prod workflows. Your future self will thank you.
